The Village of Saltaire is pleased to announce that after a long
search it has hired Dennis Foley as its new Chief of Security. Dennis comes to
Saltaire after a long and well-rounded career in law enforcement and security
operations, which we believe makes Dennis a very good fit for the needs of the
Village.
A native of Long Island, Dennis spent four years in the US Army
and, after being honorably discharged in 1972, joined the Prince Georges County (Maryland) Police Department. He spent 8 years with
the PGCPD where he started as a uniformed police
officer and eventually moved into special assignments, including investigation
of crimes against property and persons. The call of home brought Dennis back to
New York in 1980, where he spent over 25 years in
the private security industry, primarily as a manager and supervisor. He was responsible for developing, providing
and operating security systems for numerous and varied venues, including major
airports, commercial properties, important utility facilities, as well as for
private residential communities. He was responsible for the recruitment,
training and oversight of staff for these locations, which often totaled 500
guards or more.
The Village feels that Dennis’s extensive
experience in law enforcement and security operations, combined with his
friendly, confident and calm personality, are an ideal combination for the
leadership position of the Saltaire Security Department.
